This month’s emfluence Marketing Platform updates include SMS in campaigns, the ability to download the Contact Activities Report, control over API access tokens, and more. See what our community has asked for and what we built:

SMS in Campaigns

DC Asks: Can you add SMS to campaigns?

SMS messages can now be added to campaigns. Like emails, the SMS can be added to a campaign on the individual message or in bulk in the Campaigns section.

Contact Activities Report Download

MS Asks: Can you add a download option to the Contact Activities report?

Now like other downloadable reports in the emfluence Marketing Platform, there is a download option for the Contact Activities report allowing you to choose what contact data points (first name, email, etc.) you want included in your report.

API Access Tokens

SP Asks: Can you allow us to control our own API tokens?

It’s been a long time coming, but now users have the ability to create and manage their own access tokens. They can also add a description for the token’s use case. Every token is specifically tied back to a single user, so that user’s permissions will impact what can be done by the token and if the user is deleted the token will no longer function. Learn more about creating and managing API Tokens here.

Exclusion Groups for SMS

RE Asks: Can you add exclusion groups to SMS?

Exclusion groups have been added to the Recipients step on SMS. Now, like emails, you can choose a group you want to exclude from a single SMS send.

Email Preview/Proof Contact Pickers

CK Asks: Can the contact pickers on the preview step remember me?

We’ve added a recent history to both the “preview as” and the “send proof” contact pickers on the Preview step. This will remember the contacts you recently previewed as or sent a proof to in your browser. Now you will see recent selections shown and can select those contacts from the list.

Wrapping on Longer Titles

JB Asks: Can you make a change so that long titles of emails don’t run over into other sections on the email summary?

Spaces? Who needs spaces? Clients avoiding spaces in their titles were seeing longer email titles overflow into the next section on the email summary page. We’ve made an update to wrap those titles moving forward.
