This month’s emfluence Marketing Platform updates include activity logs added to workflows, an insecure URL warning in the Link & Image Checker, conditional landing page notifications, and more. See what our community has asked for and what we built:
Workflows: Activity Log
GB Asks: Can you add a log for workflows similar to emails?
On the list of workflows, you will now see an Activity Log listed above the owner’s name which will open in a pop-up providing some information about when the workflow was last edited and saved.
Links & Images Checker: Insecure URL Warning
We’ve added a warning for insecure links (links using http instead of https). These warnings will be shown in the Links check under the Check Links & Images tool in the Preview section. An insecure link won’t prevent your email from deploying, but we recommend using a secure URL.
Groups: Reference Groups
CZ Asks: Can you expand the reference for groups to include any group used in a condition and not just as the source group?
Any Dynamic Group using a Static Group as its Source Group provides a notation on the Static Group to let you know it’s part of that query. We’ve expanded this notation for any Static Group being used in any part of the query for a Dynamic Group (not just as a Source Group) to display the group information within the Static Group.
Security: Login Removal for Inactive Users
A separate notification was sent out previously, but this is just a reminder that inactive logins (those without a login since 6/21/2024) have had their password removed as a security measure. The user still exists, with their same permissions, and has not been deactivated. However, their ability to log into emfluence has been removed. In order for that login to be used again, the password must be reset by the user using the Forgot Password link which will trigger to the email address assigned to them.
Landing Pages: Conditional Notifications
TR Asks: I want more control of who can get notifications when someone fills out a landing page form. Can you give me the ability to choose situations where users receive those?
On the Response Page, we’ve kept the notifications for all entries, but we’ve now added conditional notification emails which can be triggered only when the contact record of the submitter meets specific criteria. Click +Add Condition and provide the logic, then choose the user(s) to receive the emails where this condition is met (Ex. Send to the Kansas City user where the City value is “Kansas City”).
