This month’s emfluence Marketing Platform updates include the ability to set URL parameters on forms, group level suppression data available in the API, new achievements to unlock, and more. See what our community has asked for and what we built:

Forms: URL Paramaters

ED Asks: We need forms built in the platform to be able to capture source/medium/keyword out of the referring UTM.

Users are now able to set a field’s default value to come from a user-defined URL parameter along with a fallback value (if the URL parameter is not present). When a contact visits a landing page containing a form, the system will apply the default value from the defined URL parameter. If the URL parameter defined for a field’s default value is not present with the request, the system will use the field’s fallback value.

API: Group Level Suppression Data

AD Asks: Can you make group-level suppression data available via emfluence’s API?

emfluence has rolled out a change allowing calls made to both the groups/getContacts and contacts/get Groups endpoints to include dataSuppressed status and date of suppression in the response data.

Nifty Images Countdown Timer

AJ Asks: Can you change the start date on the Nifty Images countdown timer?

We’ve made a change to the Nifty Images Countdown Timer. When launching a new timer, the default date will now be set to just over a week from the current date. To accomplish this change, the prebuilt templates had to be removed but you can still customize the timer using the settings available.

User Login

SE Asks: Can you make it easier to see a user’s login on a platform invitation?

Some new users mentioned missing their username during the initial password setup. We’ve made an update to make the username more visible and easier to copy during the login process.

Anchor Links

AJ Asks: Why do anchor links show a warning in the Preview link check?

We’ve made a change to anchor links, which work a bit differently than other traditional URL links, which will remove the false positive you may have seen in the image and link checker on the Preview step.

NOTE: Quick reminder that anchor links won’t work on most mobile devices.

Surveys: Anonymous Responses

LR Asks: Is it possible to not track IP for anonymous survey responses?

In the past, emfluence has collected and shown IP Address for anonymous survey responses. Now, when you choose to make responses anonymous, IP address will no longer be shown in reporting.

New Achievements

New achievements can be unlocked when you connect Google My Business, Facebook Ads, create a QR Code, or create an element for the Library inside the Drag & Drop editor. These achievements will automatically be awarded.

Other Additions

We’ve also made several behind-the-scenes improvements, including faster report loading, contact score adjustments, and the removal of bot activity from contact scoring models (you should have received a separate email detailing enhancements to bot detection and reporting accuracy).
