This month’s emfluence Marketing Platform updates bring you single sign-on (SSO) via Okta, enhanced Group permissions, a Bulk Update history log, and more. Explore the latest features inspired by our user community:
SSO

emfluence has introduced Single Sign-On (SSO) support, starting with Okta. Okta users can now log into their emfluence accounts using their Okta credentials.
Additional SSO providers may be added in the future based on demand and development costs.
Bulk Update History
ED Asks: Can you make it easier to see past bulk update changes?

emfluence has added Bulk Update History in the Contacts menu to allow users to search previous bulk updates that have been made in the account.
Each entry will show the date, user, and status along with the number of contacts changed, the field updated, and the new value added.
Feature Request Portal

emfluence has launched a new shared Feature Request Portal. Through this portal, you can submit ideas for future features in the emfluence Marketing Platform and vote on suggestions from other users.
Proofs
BC Asks: I like how you added the ability to see proofs on the summary page of a sent email; can you add them to current drafts as well?

On the Preview step, you’ll now see a Proofs tab alongside the Preview and Pre-Flight tabs. Selecting an individual ID will open that specific email proof.
SMS Character Counter
WS Asks: Can you make it easier to see how large our SMS messages are?

For SMS, a character counter now appears at the bottom of the screen.
Keep in mind that nonstandard characters—such as emojis—may count as more than one character, and the exact count can vary by provider. To be safe, allow extra room when staying under the maximum message size.
Group Permissions
KF Asks: We need our users to be able to see contacts in groups but don’t want to give them the permission to add new groups. Is there a way around this?

The Create Group permission now functions more precisely. Previously, without this permission, some standard or restricted users could not access contact lists within groups.
We’ve updated this so those users can now access the lists, provided they have explicit access to the group. However, if they don’t have the Create Group permission, the Options tab for that group (which allows changes) will remain hidden.
